One of Australia’s most successful pedagogues, in 2001 Rita was appointed Head of Piano at the Australian National Academy of Music, a position she held for ten years. She continues to teach in her private studio.

Her students have won prizes in Australia’s top competitions, and many have gone on to international careers. These include some of Australia’s most successful pianists: James Brawn, Hoang Pham, Daniel Le, Amir Farid, Max Foster, Lachlan Redd, Ben Kopp, Tony Lee, Carolyn Almonte, Bonnie Brown, Peter de Jaeger, Brieley Cutting, Nicholas Kennedy, and Tomoe Kawabata.

Reichman’s expertise is regularly sought as a jury member, both in Australia and internationally, in such competitions as the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition, The ABC Young Performers award, the Music Society of Victoria, and the Hephzibah Menuhin Memorial awards.

Miss Reichman is sought after to give master classes all over the world.
